Free-plan traps to know before you start
- Non-commercial free plans. ElevenLabs, Suno and Kittl free plans don't cover client work, monetized videos or products you sell.
- Upgrading doesn't fix old files. Suno songs made on Free stay non-commercial even after you subscribe.
- Credits run out fast. Video tools like Higgsfield and InVideo sell credits, and a month's allowance can be just a few short videos.
- Trials that turn into subscriptions. GoHighLevel, Jasper and Higgsfield's trial all need cancelling before they bill you.

FAQ
Are these free alternatives really OK for commercial use?
Everything we list is free to use for commercial work under its license or terms as of October 24, 2026. Two catches: Piper voices and models you download into Ollama each carry their own license, so check the model card, and stock sites like Pexels and Pixabay forbid reselling their files unaltered.
Which AI tools have free plans that don't allow commercial use?
On the day we checked, ElevenLabs Free (non-commercial, attribution required), Suno Free (no commercial rights), Kittl Free (personal use only) and Higgsfield Free (no credits) did not allow normal commercial use. CapCut Free allows it only for materials labelled “Commercial Use”.
If I upgrade Suno later, can I sell songs I made on the free plan?
No. Suno grants commercial rights to songs made while you are subscribed, and songs made on the free plan are not covered retroactively. If you might sell a track, make it on a paid plan or use an open model like ACE-Step.
Do I need a powerful computer for the open-source options?
Editors like Shotcut, Kdenlive, Inkscape and Audacity, plus Kokoro and Piper voices, run on an ordinary laptop. Image and video models (FLUX.1 [schnell], Wan 2.2) need a GPU, so use a hosted free allowance like Cloudflare Workers AI or rent a GPU by the hour.
How current are these prices?
We checked each tool's pricing page on October 24, 2026. Prices are in US dollars and change often, especially promos and credit amounts, so confirm on the official page before you pay.
Do you earn money from these links?
No. Every link goes to the official site, with no affiliate or referral codes, and we earn nothing if you sign up.
